About Us
About The Founder:
Pastor Kayiira Fred is a senior pastor of the Seventhday Adventisit Church. He heads the stewardship, development, and lands department in the East Buganda Field. He is a husband and father of 3 children. He has served 14 years doing voluntary and charity work. He got an idea to help retired ministers in 2020 and opened the foundation in 2024 with the hope of helping retired ministers and their spouses.
Retired Church ministers, having dedicated their lives to serving their communities and spreading the Word of God, deserve even greater honor and support. They are seen as the spiritual and emotional pillars of their communities, often acting as custodians of moral and ethical values, and their leadership extends beyond their active years in ministry.
The Retired Church Minister’s Foundation (RCMF) recognizes the work that our ministers offer our societies with profound respect and admiration. Our foundation is dedicated to honoring and supporting retired or disabled ministers and spouses.
In many cases, these devoted servants of God have spent their lives ministering in small, often underfunded churches. They have worked tirelessly, not for financial gain, but for the spiritual well-being of their congregations. As a result, many find themselves ill prepared for life after retirement. They may face difficulties ranging from intergration into society, affording basic necessities, healthcare, and sustainable living conditions.
Inspired by the teachings of 1 Timothy 5:17, which emphasizes the importance of honoring those who lead well, the RCMF aims to provide financial, emotional, spiritual, assistance and support to these retired or disabled pastors and their families. This support is a manifestation of the community’s gratitude and a tangible way to show that their years of service have not been forgotten.
Therefore, the role of organizations like RCMF becomes even more crucial in filling these gaps. By addressing the unique challenges faced by retired ministers and their spouses, the foundation aims to ensure they live their twilight years with dignity, respect, and comfort.
RCMF’s mission is to be a beacon of hope and a model of compassion, embodying the biblical mandate to honor those who have served well. Our goal is to alleviate the different burdens of retired pastors and their families, thereby enabling them to continue living with the respect and dignity they deserve. In doing so, we also aim to inspire a spirit of generosity and gratitude within the broader community, encouraging others to join us in this vital mission.
Through our work, we hope to strengthen the bonds within our communities, showing that we value and care for our ministers. The RCMF is committed to making a lasting impact, ensuring that the sacrifices and dedication of our retired ministers are honored in meaningful and sustainable ways.
